The First Arrow (2026)

Part of Soysal’s latest collection, ‘Soft Mutations’.

A multi-sectional tabletop sculpture composed of three parts, with gorgeously subtle cool-tones contrasted with red hues.

This melancholic piece features a slain swan and a delicate fairy curled up in her wing. An arrow pierces deep into her body and a face emerges from the wound site of the severed neck. Both her neck and feet are tightly bound by red silk. The same silk binds the fletches of the arrow, from which are made of her own plumage.

The sculpture is complete with glossy segments and a beautifully powdery finish.
